Samsung may abandon the iris scanner for an in-display fingerprint sensor
According to prolific leaker Ice Universe on Twitter, Samsung may abandon the iris scanner found in the Galaxy S8 and Note 9, in favour of an under display fingerprint scanners found on many devices at the moment.
Yes, the S10 cancels the iris sensor and the ultrasonic fingerprint is enough to replace it.

The tweet also mentions that the scanning area will be larger than its current implementation, where in other words, we may see 30% of the screen being dedicated toward being the scanner area. It is worth noting that in-display fingerprint sensors are not new technology as the feature was first spotted Vivo X21. Its implementation has spread far and wide, as it is found on both mid-range and flagship level devices. With that in mind, Samsung is looking simply to become the next manufacturer to adopt the futuristic-looking biometric authenticator.
We may see the technology implemented in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 flagship device by the company in 2019.
